Advice

Hola', I'm not going to spend three paragraphs summarizing how our Christmas was. I don't have the energy to go through every gift nor do ya'll care. Please don't give me the "yea we care what you got" speech either! I really appreciated my gifts and am looking forward to hanging, wearing and using them.
I did get the chance to read the Tony Dungy book Quiet Strength. I loved it - he has a great ability to combine his story with different lessons he learned through God. He also applies scripture throughout the book. I'm sure it has been read by many non Christians and I pray the impact is awesome. It really has changed my attitude in coaching and helped with different situations I run into during my season.
I'm on my end of the year quest to get as many books read as possible to add to my yearly total. I'm usually good about this but I'm going to go ahead and throw out a suggestion that works for me - just in case it may work for you. I try to read 15 books a year - not the advice yet. I advise ya'll to keep track of movies or books that you see/read. You would be amazed at when you saw a movie or what you thought of a book you read three years ago. I have tracked these things since 2000 and its fun to go back and see what I thought or when I saw something. This may have more to do with my personality than anything but its fun for me to do. On that subject Kel and I saw I Am Legend I liked it - its not an all time favorite but worth seeing once.

Fan Day

I have decided , since its that time of year, to grant a few lucky fans answers to their questions.

What do you think about the Mitchell report concerning Roger Clemens?
The first thing I thought was not to jump into conclusions. We have heard about the Duke rape case involving the Lacrosse team and everyone thought those boys were guilty. The more I have thought about it though, the guiltier I think Roger is. Hey I really like the guy. He was a Red Sox before a Yankee so I used to love him. I just think there is too much evidence. He is in his mid forties and until last year was a dominate pitcher in the big leagues. Something has to have helped him sometime in his career to recover faster. I do not think he was Barry Bond'sn it and trying build muscle to pitch faster. I simple think he was using HGH and maybe a steroid to recover faster - still cheating. I still fault baseball, the fact that this wasn't illegal until recently is why this looks as ugly as it does. I have a few more thoughts but Alyssa, Jennifer and my wife just fell asleep reading this.... Next Question

Your wife has a new job, whatcha think?
First of all my wife would die with the usage of words in that question. No one said my fans were bright. This is something Kel has talked about for years. She didn't wait for it to fall in her lap. She went out and pursued a way to get into this profession. The fact that she did that was impressive. The fact that she is so good at what she does and loves going to work everyday really makes me smile. Its fun to see people call her and ask for help on certain photos. I love the fact that she tells me she still has a lot to learn. It really shows me how serious she is about this job. Next Question

Rumors are flying that your sister is dating a new guy?
I have constantly stated that I will answer no questions about my family and their private lives. I am very happy for her though. C'mon fans abide by the rules! Next Question

Is Jessica Simpson responsible for Romo's last game?
This is ridiculous. She in no way should have acted that goofy for the cameras every time Fox threw one on her. That being said, Romo hurt his thumb and has played awesome almost every week. If he hits T.O. with his second pass of the game no one whines. It was a beautiful throw and only a yard off, deep down the field. He had a bad game and with a bad thumb. He will be fine and by the way, she has been to a few games this year where he flat out played awesome. Thanksgiving Day ring a bell. Next Question

Prefer High School Musical One or Two?
Answering this question would allow the man card police to come to my house beat me with a pink bat and take the card.

Hey, one was the best - better songs and always go with the original. Keep it quiet though.

Strengths Quest

Howdy all you peeps out there. We are now in finals week here in Wichita Falls @ Midwestern State University. There is not a more exhilarating time of year for my job. The excitement of coming to work to check emails (20 minutes), the joy of talking to co-workers (I'm nonsocial- 20 minutes) and the lunch hour (hour an half). You can't buy consistency in this job. 3 months of non stop practices, games, team issues and travel. Then two months on nothinggg. Followed by three months of Spring soccer which is basically low maintenance. Then throw in four months of club games, recruiting, camps, and tournaments. I guess the point I'm making is ...its very hot and cold. I love it, am used to it but still its unique.
I took a strengths Quest test. My Boss in the Student Center gives these out to most of the University. Basically its a personality test that is tied into how we will do our jobs. There are 34 different categories and they give you the top five. Here they are for all to see. Jeff Trimble opening his soul for the world to examine. (the world being the four people that still read this - thanks family).

Context
I understand the present by examining the past. The present to me is unstable so I base decisions on the past events in my life.
Deliberative
I am careful. I am a private person and feel that the world is an unpredictable place. Life is viewed as a minefield. If others choose to run through it recklessly that's their decision. I choose to walk with care.
Individualization
I try to find the unique qualities in others. I ask a lot of questions of others to identify why they do and who they are. This way I can have a unique opinion of others.
Consistency
Good grief this is easily me - hello - I eat the same thing at the same restaurants without fail. I will pass out if Kel makes a new meal some nights. I have broken down like a 8 year old school girl if a night differs from the expectation of that morning. I need to know at 9am how the rest of my day will go - No changes!
Restorative
I love to solve problems. I get energized by finding what is wrong and setting about on the solution. I do like to play Scatagories because I have never won at it and want to solve that stupid game!
